Rep. Schiff Votes No on NDAA

Washington, DC — Today, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) released the following statement on why he voted against the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

“Extreme MAGA Republicans decided to take the FY24 NDAA hostage, jamming through their anti-choice, anti-diversity, and anti-LGBTQ agenda. It’s the only way they can pass their unpopular policies. This legislation will harm military families and servicemembers by attacking reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and efforts to improve diversity and inclusion. It’s clear that MAGA Republicans aren’t serious about supporting our men and women in uniform or protecting our national security. Their focus is reversing progress and pushing their reactionary agenda. Californians and all Americans — and especially our servicemembers — deserve better, and I cannot support this bill.”
